A day in which you write something is a day well-spent

Hello and thank you for flying with Anastasia’s Advice Airlines, where we give you advice in all things writing. We hope you enjoy the flight and have a wonderful trip.

Advice #8: Make sure that your readers can relate to your main character, whether it’s through knowing that his family was killed when he was a child, his wife left him, or that he’s fond of kittens. If the reader doesn’t have a vested interest in your character, he/she won’t want to finish the book.

We hope you’ve enjoyed your trip on Anastasia’s Advice Airlines and that you’ll fly with us again next week.

See Flight 1, Flight 2, and Flight 3 for more writing advice.
